Origins (1957): Nissan Motor Company entered the forklift business in 1957, when they started manufacturing and selling forklifts in Japan. The early models were primarily gasoline-powered, but the company soon expanded its product range to include diesel and electric forklifts.
Expansion (1960s-1980s): During the 1960s and 1970s, Nissan Forklift expanded its global presence by establishing subsidiaries and manufacturing facilities in Europe, North America, and Asia. Merger and Formation of UniCarriers (2013): In 2013, Nissan Forklift merged with TCM Corporation, another major Japanese forklift manufacturer. The resulting entity, UniCarriers Corporation, brought together the expertise and resources of both companies to create a stronger player in the material handling industry.

Today, UniCarriers Corporation continues to carry on the legacy of Nissan Forklift by offering a wide range of material handling solutions, including internal combustion and electric forklifts, pallet trucks, and other specialized equipment.
