Hydraulic Pumps

Hydraulic pumps convert mechanical energy into hydraulic energy for actuation in systems. Three primary types are:

  1. Gear Pumps: Simple pumps with meshing gears, drawing in fluid at the inlet and discharging it under pressure at the outlet.
  2. Piston Pumps: Reciprocating pistons within cylinders; axial and radial types. Piston movement draws in fluid and discharges it under pressure.
  3. Vane Pumps: Off-center rotor with sliding vanes; fluid is drawn in, trapped in crescent-shaped chambers, and expelled under pressure at the outlet.

Each pump type has unique pros and cons; selection depends on factors like pressure, flow rate, and system requirements.
